Bye Bye to Connecticut

Thursday was our last day in Connecticut. After seeing Dad and Maureen we went back to GrammaLyn's house to spend some time with her and Uncle Eric. Uncle Jeffy was able to come over too.
Lon reads a magazine with GrammaLyn.

Uncle Jeffy.

After reading the magazine and doing some serious playing, we had to go back to the hotel. We had to get back to Virginia on Friday.

We stopped by the grocery store to pick up Maple Syrup for GrandmaPhis. They had a Dunkin Doughnuts stand in store, so I got 6 donut holes, a barbarian cream for Mark and a regular doughnut for me. Lon ate all 6 holes!

Back across the Tappan Zee. When we got down into Maryland, close to going into DC, we stopped at the welcome center. Lon told us he needed changed. There was a very nice lady there who told us that going through DC and south on 95 on Friday afternoon would be insane. She gave us directions on how to get down to Fredericksburg without the gridlock. It was along state roads. We did really well, we had a nice trip with pretty scenery, again I forgot to charge the camera. It was a good trip. Miss Garmin was getting rather upset that we were not going on 95, she kept saying things like at the first possible moment make a U-turn. Recalculating, make a U-turn. It was pretty funny. We had a good trip north. Mark made it safely back to Seattle and Mom and Andy made it to France.
