Home on Highway 2

It is a wildly different landscape than what we have on this side of the Cascades.

We got up at our normal time, packed up all our stuff. We went down to breakfast, we were pretty much by ourselves in the restaurant. Mark took out the first load of stuff in the stroller and Lon and I stayed in the room. He came back up to the room and told us that the cars on either side of us had been broken into! YIPES! Our car was not touched. Perhaps it was because the only thing we had out to see was a couple of CDs and the car seat. On either side of us, the cars had their windows broken out. I am so thankful that our car was not broken into. That would have definitely messed up our day! They were having some kind of bike race as we left Spokane.

This is Almira, Washington.

Lon is getting sleepy.
This is Dry Falls. The place were the radical theory of cataclysmic geology was proven.

Sleeping boy.

Yep, most of the photos were taken out the car window as we were speeding along. We stopped in Cashmere for lunch. It was an okay lunch. We did go to the Liberty Orchards factory, we got some aplets, cotlets and fruitlets for GrammaLyn. I love Aplets and Cotlets and all the other lets. Our next stop, Smallwoods!
