Tiger Hike

Today Lon and most of his fellow Tiger Scouts completed the hiking portion of the Tiger Badge.  When he gets his Tiger Badge, he has moved up in rank to Wolf Scout!  Our ceremony will be the last meeting before summer break in June.
We went out to the Pretzel Tree Interpretive Trail. It is in Squak Mountain State Park.   I picked this hike because it was made for kids! They had sign posts to read along the way, it was short and no incline. I probably could have picked a longer hike. This was only 1/3 of a mile.

One of the signs.
Moving along the trail
There seemed to be alot of blown down trees
The elusive Pretzel tree.  Not as pretzely as I would have thought
After the short hike, we stopped at a picnic table and had a good snack.  Lon wanted an english muffin sandwich
On the way home, since it was so nice, we stopped and played a little more at St. Edwards Park.
