Poulsbo

A long time ago, we, Mark and I, lived in Poulsbo. On the Kitsap peninsula. Today was a nice day so we went. We caught the ferry easily. No waiting today. Tomorrow will be a totally different story! Lon LOVED the ferry!

We were on the M/V Puyallup. A 25 minute ride will get you over to the peninsula.
This is the statue we refer to as the miniature Viking. In the brochure for Poulsbo we got when we moved there, the statue looks HUGE. It took us a while to find it when we lived there. We laughed when we saw it.

Liberty Bay Marina. The pavilion.

Happy little Poulsbo. The new nickname is Little Norway. I think of Petersburg, Ak when I hear that! But they do have Sluy's Bakery. The home of the famous Poulsbo Bread. Very yummy. And everything else they make there is wonderful too. Even though Lon did not like their rosettes, they make them with cardamom (like you are supposed to) and I made them with lemon. It is a very nice little town. The population is now 7450. It was even smaller when we lived there!

Happy Baby! We stopped for lunch at JJ's Fish Cafe. Nice place. Mark had some Cioppino, I had a the calamari and a burger. Lon did eat some fries. We look for places that we can eat outside. Lon likes that better!

But he fell asleep. He woke up when Mom got some ice cream.

After lunch we went back to play in Marina Park.

After Marina Park, we went to the ferry dock. Lon is walking, yes, walking, around the waiting area on the dock.

Here comes the ferry! Time to get loaded up in the car! A mere 25 minutes and we would be almost home!

Tomorrow Daddy is going to test out his new Birthday power washer.
