A New Park, then a Picnic

To avoid traffic on Friday afternoon, I went through Rose Hill. I found a new park! Very nice. Saturday morning Mark, Lon and I went to check it out. 26.6 acres, woodlands, a couple pavilions, grassy areas and a super wonderful play area!
They have part of the play area specifically for the littlest kids, up to age 5. The rest of the area has tire swings, two slides, one with bumps and one that is a covered corkscrew type. The little kids area is where we spent our time. It has a tiny tunnel, a little slide and a bouncy walkway. All met with approval.

Through the tiny tunnel
Dad has to hold me up, but I can drive!!

After a good time playing, we went home and had a good nap. We then got ready and went to Doug and Mary's for a picnic.

Mary had one of her boy's high chairs for Lon. He loved it. The toy on the high chair was the coolest! I think he liked being entertained by Harrison and Marshall much better.

Lon had some spinach dip. Yummy! The rest of us had a lovely picnic. It was catered by Teddy Bear barbecue. (yes, the one featured on FoodTV) how cool is that? The food was great. The company even better. It was a great afternoon!

Doug.

Very nice people. It was good to see them again. Lon definitely had a good time at their house. He thought it was great being entertained by Marshall and Harrison. I think they had fun playing with him too.
