Happy New Year!

Just a little late!
We had a wonderful block party on New Year's Eve!   The whole street went up to the cul de sac!

There were fireworks! They are legal in South Carolina.   Mortars, Roman Candles and fire crackers!

One of the guys brought a log that he cut the center into a star pattern. He used a chain saw and cut it all the way through the middle.  They set the big log on a some little logs and lit a fire underneath.  At first it was just alot of smoke. Once it caught it was amazing!

Towards the end of the night, they were putting the old Christmas trees on top and watching them go WOOSH!

We have great neighbors! It was a great way to ring in the New Year!
