Lon's First Birthday!

Aunt Karen went all out to make sure Lon's first birthday was special. It was great! Lon had so much fun! We all had a great time. I sent out all the party stuff first, Aunt Karen got Lon the great cake! Vanilla cake with raspberry cream! It looked great and tasted great! Lon liked it, he put his fingers in it and then promptly smeared them on Daddy's shirt.

Lon invited his Grandmother, His Great-Grandmothers, Miss Helen, and Theo, and his cousins, Matt and Miss Ing. And their parents. It was the perfect amount of people! Lon was not overwhelmed, the bigger kids showed him how to play with this toys! That was fun.

This is the lamb from his Godfather Damian. It is so soft!

Miss Helen, her mom Becky, Cousin Matt and Aunt Karen! They all seemed to have fun.

Lon did great all morning! He watched the big kids play with his tunnel and he learned how to use it! He loves his tunnel (photos of him in the tunnel coming up next blog). Cousin Matt got him some trains and a big truck, he also got a little people sail boat, some other trucks too! He did very well. Lon told me that he would like to keep having birthdays please. Next week, let's do it again. Cake and presents! That is an unbeatable combo!

The holiday traffic was starting when we went home later that afternoon. Took us almost three hours for an hour drive! I can not imagine having to deal with that all the time! This was the last time we went into DC that week, except to leave. We stuck closer to Fredericksburg, and we learned alot about the area. More coming up next!
