On June 30, the Cub Scout pack had a wonderful field trip to Boeing. The Dream Learner program is amazingly fun! They have an official photographer, we can not take photos ourselves. It took me a little while to figure out how to get a picture from the file to word to make it into a jpeg. I am rather proud of myself for figuring it out.
We got a family photo! We all had to wear id tags, but Dad got to wear his Boeing ID.
The boys got to pick up pieces of titanium, aluminum, and the carbon composite that Boeing uses to make aircraft.
The boys were broken up into teams to make paper airplanes. They had to have mechanics, engineers, finance and materials people. They all had to work together to make one paper airplane. They flew in competition against each other and the one team of adults. The adults lost
The winning team! Lon's team won the paper airplane drill! They each got a poster, a bracelet and a first day cover from the first flight in South Carolina of the 787. The poster was only for the winning team, everyone got bracelets and covers.
Group photo.
It was a great day. We had a ton of fun. It was so nice of Boeing to do this for us!
