Sunday with Grace

Today was shaping up to be another day hanging around the house building Legos with Lon. It was not to be! This is a good thing. We got a call from Gernot saying they would be at Castle Park and would we like to join them about 2:15 or so. We said we would! and we did!

We arrived a little early, so Lon ran around the park. He was playing with the other boys. It is nice he can make friends so fast!

Grace and Lon warming up to each other. At first Grace was a bit miffed Lon was playing with other boys, but soon enough Lon was only playing with her.

We got it going pretty fast for them. Lon did not think that was as much fun as Grace did. 

Moving on to play on other things at the park

Swings are always fun. Lon still likes to swing on his tummy.  I tried to put him on properly but he said no. If he likes it, why not?

After a fun romp in the park, we all came back to our house for dinner. Our dinner was grilled pork, rajam masala, biranyai, and broccoli. The kids had cheesey rollups.  Megan was talking about the tiramisu she had in Europe and that she could not figure out where to get Marcapone here. Since we had to run to the grocery store anyway, we picked up some and made a quick tiramisu cake.  It was good, even if I cheated and bought an unfrosted white cake from the bakery, but it went together super quick and was yummy!

Instead of playing chicken, they played let's give each other kisses while on Daddy's shoulders!  They are very cute. (Yes, I know it is cute now, but later it might not be so adorable. )  
A good time was had by all. It was so nice of them to give us a call and save us from another routine Sunday
