Boy Scout Rocket Launch!

We joined a new pack. So far we are having so much fun!  Tonight was a get together,  to sign up for the new pack.  It was a rocket launch. Not like the launches we did with Ian, but this one is done with air!

It takes lots of effeort to build up enough air pressure in those tubes!

After a little while, the boys got to work on their own. Lon is being assisted by a Webelo. They shot off  empty plastic two liter bottles. Try as I might, I could not get a photo of the lift off.  They went to the ceiling of the gym!

Then the boys made their own paper rockets to fire. How would those do compared to the bottles?

They went just as high, but with less pressure. It was pretty cool.
Lon had a great time!
