Our first trip to the Farm was our kindergarten field trip. We have tried to go back every year since then! This year, Daddy came with us!
Bunnies waiting to be petted. Lon was good with them. He just petted them.
We talked to Hamish. Well, we call the highland cow Hamish. No toffies in his coat though.
Just a few minutes on the tractor
Hay maze. It is still pretty fun for Lon. He only did it four times! This year, you only had to pay once and go as many times as you wanted.
It was time to get down to business! Let's get a pumpkin! Or three!
This one looks good! Let's get it!
Stacking pumpkins
Pumpkin totem!
Being the scarecrow!
I think we are ready to leave
well, maybe not. We discussed the merits of the pumpkins for a few minutes
We are now happy with the pumpkins
While we were waiting in line to purchase our pumpkins, Lon helped the kids behind us get an even better pumpkin!
We dropped the pumpkins off in the car. Then we caught the wagon ride. We love hayrides!
Apples in the tree
The clouds were getting darker and the crows were in the corn stalks. It looked very Halloween!
Our wagon looked almost identical to this one!
Ha ha!
We had a great time exploring The Farm. We were getting a bit hungry, but we did not want to wait in the lines. We bought a gallon of very good cider and headed out. We stopped at our favorite Mexican place for a late lunch. Lon was pleased as it was his idea.
Waiting for lunch, Daddy and Lon being goofy. What will balance on Lon's head. That was the name of the game.
Lon ate his entire lunch, which meant he could have dessert. Fried ice cream is a favorite. This time, they had run out of corn flakes, and they used Kix cereal for a coating. Not the same. Lon wanted to know if I could make fried ice cream. We are putting cornflakes on our shopping list.
It was a very fun day. We had a great time. We made it home before the rain and hail started.
