First Day of First Grade!

Lon barely got any sleep at all last night he was so excited!  He woke up early too!

I made him pancakes. He ate about 2, and his chocolate milk, so he did have a good breakfast

All ready to go, lots of first day supplies. He is wearing his new Darth Vader light up shoes, and his brand new shirt for school.

A special day present for Lon! The balloon is from Grandma.  It is red, his favorite color!

3:30pm and he is released!  And best of all, Daddy is there too! Mark took off early so he could be there. Such a good Dad!

A great first day! And now Daddy just said we are going to Dairy Queen for a mini blizzard! This day just keeps getting better!

Eating his mint oreo blizzard. I got a mini turtle and Mark got a mini banana! All were truly yummy!

He just noticed the balloon and the present.

All sorts of great stuff Mom! This is so cool, you are the best Mommy ever! 

All of his stuff, two mini figs, two playmobile figures holding the German cones that the kids get there for the first day of school and a little bit of chocolates.  

Lon had a good day at school and no homework today. He had to read something he said and play for an hour outside. Both of those things were easily accomplished.  He read his level 1 Berenstain Bear's book,  and then he went and ran around the backyard.   He went to bed on time tonight too!
