The Fair on Friday

Thursday afternoon Lon put himself in his bed at 5:23 in the afternoon.  Hmm, and he went to sleep. Something was not right. When Lon woke up about 2 hours later, with a fever. I knew. Poor little guy. We pulled out the hideabed and slept downstairs. Lon was very worried we would not go to the Evergreen Fair in Monroe. He woke up telling me he felt great, really.   I made him eat breakfast, he was fine. He was not running a fever at that time.  So we gathered up our 6 cans of food and off we went. The fair was free to get in if you brought in three cans of food each!  It was a win-win!
Today's adventure was so Lon could ride the rides. As many as he wanted as much as he wanted in the allowed time.  We bought a wrist band, it was 25 dollars. It was a good deal for us, all the rides would have totaled 62 dollars if we paid for them with tickets. Good deal.
The swinging chairs! Lon loved those, flying high. His favorite ride was the voyager. It is a simulator ride, but that did not photograph well. He rode it 6 times
Smiles all around!
The Shrek adventure. Lon did not like the shakey bridge way up high.  He did it, mainly because he could not turn back, but he did it.  Once he got down the slide to the ground he told me in no uncertain terms he was never doing that again!
This was a fun ride! Lon did the slide three times!

Lon had fun sliding. The first time, the second and third time he hit the rails toward the end and tumbled a little. But he did try it again after he tumbled the first time. I was proud of him for that. The reason he did not try it again after the third time was he needed to go home!
If you don't want to watch the video clip.
Teacups! I can not wait for Lon and I to go on the real teacups at Disney!
Wiggly Worm Roller Coaster. Lon loves the roller coaster!  He rode that one twice.
Another wiggley snap!
Shave ice break! We needed to get something to drink and something to eat too!
Corn Dogs are always good!
We found the pony rides. Lon can ride the pony till he weighs 120 pounds.  Which means he will be in his early 20s.
The photo stop. yes, I got the photo. They have been having some great photos of him the past couple of years.
We walked around a little while, looking for something for Mommy to eat. But we wanted to see the new calf. Less than 2 weeks old. What a cutie!

We went back to the rides, did a few more --the last slide and voyager. Then we went home.  Lon was starting to fade. He was tired and starting not to feel good again. On the upside, Lon had a great time!
