Disney Day 5! Epcot and Hollywood Fireworks!

Our final day at Disney World. It went by entirely too fast.

Sadly, this time we did not ride Spaceship Earth.
We had fast passes for Mission Space and Test Track, before going on to World Showcase.  Mission Space was after Test Track, but the non fast pass line was only 10 minutes for Mission Space. Lon ran ahead and got on the Orange side. I bought him a little something in the gift shop for his birthday that would be a surprise. The cast member put it in a little box so he would not see what it was.  We both rode Test Track, but Lon designed the car. Speed was the main focus of his car.  It is a fun thing to do.  He wanted the souvenir card of his car, so we got that.

Oh! Canada!

We did stop by England and found Monty Python shirts and Dr. Who water bottles that were calling to us.
I bought a dessert cookbook in France! Morocco and America we did a quick look, Lon was wanting to get to Japan.

Japan

We could not stop for a Turkey Leg "snack" as we had lunch reservations at Via Napoli

Out the side window at Via Napoli

Lon's favorite pizza in the entire world.  Not just World Showcase, but the entire planet

Followed by his favorite dessert, zeppoli. Made with ricotta, not pizza dough.

My dessert. It was perfect. I love the candied orange peel on the end. I have to remember that

Our waiter, Carlo, was fun! He brought Lon a birthday cupcake and sang Happy Birthday in Italian.

On to Germany, Lon still loves the model train exhibit.  He sees something new each time

Too bad we were so full from lunch that we could not enjoy some tasty treats from Germany. We thought about buying some chocolate to eat later,  but they would be a melted mess in a matter of minutes.

Taking a small break, we saw this little buy posing for us.  Since he was posing we took his  picture

China!

Norway!

Our view from the corridor on the way to our room. The thunder was starting to rumble.  We dropped off our bags and grabbed out ponchos, just in case.

Off to Hollywood Studios

Before we went through security, but after bag check, we saw some characters just hanging out, so we walked over to see if we could get some photos. Of course we could!

Lon loves these guys!

I had to have my picture with Minnie. She noticed and admired my nails.  What a hoot!

Lon being goofy. His rain poncho over a light.

Our last churros and frozen lemonades.

It was time for the Galactic Nights Dessert Party and show viewing.

As we walked in, cast members were telling me how much they loved my shirt. Maybe I should have an etsy shop. I mentioned copy rights in making things with Disney fabrics. We were all sad about it.

The desserts cheered us up ! SO many different things to try.  They had a massive tray of bread pudding, fruit skewers, hummus, and vegetables too

One of the nifty things they had, was a chocolate mousse station, but they froze your scoop in a vat of liquid nitrogen.

We had time to go visit Chewbacca and BB8. Lon did not want to see Kylo Ren. I was okay with that

The interpreter told me BB8 would have liked my shirt much better had HE been on it. I explained that as soon as I could find BB8 material I would make a BB8 shirt. He was happy with that.

We met Chewy the first time we were at the studios, so we more time with desserts

That is why Lon has a different shirt on...

The cast member assigned to the Storm Troopers was telling everyone they did not have time to pose for photos. But as soon as his back was turned, this Trooper motioned to Lon and we got a quick snap.

We were ushered out to our viewing platform for the show.  We received a Darth Vader mug. I thought we would be getting Chewy mugs or I would not have ordered them earlier.  But we now have a set of four.
The platform was an incredible place to watch the show!

The projections were amazing. The sound was loud! The fireworks were incredible!

There were also lasers.  I tried to get some good pictures but I was busy watching!

It was a wonderful last day at the parks.  We always want to add another day or 4, but it was time to go home. One more surprise left for the morning!
