Ketchikan, Day 1

I took Lon out of school on Friday so we could go up to Ketchikan! Rachel was getting married. Sadly, Mark had to stay home and work.

Lon enjoying his cookie breakfast on the flight.  This is Lon's first time in Alaska!
First glimpse of Ketchikan
A cruise ship coming through a fog bank. It looked like it was floating in the clouds
Trying to see Ketchikan! It is so hard not to be tall enough to see over the rail!
Beautiful weather. Looks like summer! Float planes, cruise ships and sunshine on the water.
This is a very silly stuffed bear.  We went to Tongass to get Mom and Andy a fishing license for Sunday.  Lon and I were leaving on Sunday, so no fishing for us.
Meeting friends for lunch.  Inside, there was live music and Lon met some wonderful people. Mrs. Kotrc took Lon and I out to show us her house. So pretty and the view from her place is wonderful! But I did not take a photo of that. (sad)
Then it was up to the house of the Bride to work on flowers!
The rehearsal dinner was out at the North Tongass Community Club.  I could not resist taking Lon down to Refuge Cove beach.
The beach.
Miss Lindsay and her man, Graham. We like Graham.  The rehearsal dinner had a Hawaiian shirt theme.  Very fun!

Lon telling Grandma that he was very tired and it was time to go home.  He had been up since 4:30am and it was now almost 9pm.  Lon was about to turn into a pumpkin. A melting pumpkin. He was good, but he wanted to get to his bed.  Lon fell asleep before we got there and I carried him into the room, and tucked him in. It was then I found out that I did not pack Lon any underpants.  We would have to go to Walmart the next morning to take care of that.
