Old Sturbridge Village

After our wonderful weekend, Mark, Lon and I were making our way back to Niantic. We stopped at Old Sturbridge Village in Massachusetts. I LOVED it! It was a farming village set in the 1830s.
Turkeys! Gobble Gobble
Lon looking into a storage barn
Dying Wool
Spinning wheel!
Designing quilt patterns!
Cookie Break!
Hanging out while Mommy looks at old buildings!
Playing in the playground. Lon loved it. Daddy stayed and played with Lon while Mommy walked around and looked at all the cool stuff there was to see.

Checking out the wagon loaded with stuff from the farm. How things were transported and what was transported!
Games to show you how things work and what could go wrong. In the 1830s, and today!
A beautiful bedroom
The carding mill. People brought their wool into the carding mill and saved time and effort by having it carded there.
An ox cart! Lon wanted a ride, but they were hauling manure. lovely smell.
Hello Calf. Mooo Moooooo Moo
Onions and garlic in the shed!
Next time we go, we will go on the carriage ride. It looked like fun. I enjoyed myself very much. Lon had fun in the playground and Daddy was a good sport!
