Building the Gingerbread House

Tonight after a lovely dinner of lasagna, Lon convinced Grandma to help him with the gingerbread house. He has been waiting SO long to get that done!
I made the icing. My only contribution
Waiting for icing, turning into a robot or a zombie. Waiting is not his best thing.
Getting started!
The ideas are coming fast! Lon is in charge as it is his gingerbread house.
Grandpa Andy was trying to watch the Seahawks win over the 49ers.  He went to watch it downstairs with Mark. The Hawks won 42 to 13.
Lon wanted to add something that looked like lights to the edge of this house. The mini green and red chips were perfect for this!
Adding some more candies to the corners
Trying to find the finishing touches

Chimney time. Lon thought it was very important to have a chimney for Santa, even though it was a gingerbread house!
They did not include on in the house! Lon had the idea of making it out of hard peppermint candies, with smarties as the smoke.
Finishing touches, does it need anything else? Nope! It is wonderful!
Lon's masterpiece! He also put the deer in the front yard, and gave him a bow! All his ideas and doing!
It turned out great!
