On the Coast

We came down to Lincoln City on Thursday afternoon.  Made great time.
On Friday morning, we went to Pig n' Pancake. One of my favorite spots to eat breakfast EVER. Lon ate all but one of his sand dollar pancakes. Lon decided I needed a ring, but buying one at Pig n' Pancake was too much for Lon's budget. He spied the gumball machines in front, borrowed 50 cents from Daddy. I am now the proud owner of a shiny purple plastic ring.  Then we went outlet shopping for a bit, as a family!
Of course I forgot the camera and we ended up at the beach on the way back.  We are going to a place called Mo's for dinner, which is near the beach we went to, so I am hopeful I will not forget the camera again.   Lon is having a great time, Mark is having a great time, I am too.
Coloring at Mo's. Waiting for dinner. Which is going to be fish and chips. Alaskan cod. Lon liked it.  He is getting so much better at coloring.  Holding the crayon properly and staying in the lines. Nice!

Dirt for dessert! Ice cream, Oreo cookie crumbs, chocolate sauce and whipped cream. There were supposed to be gummy worms inside, but Lon does not like them so he did not have them.

if you squint you can see some black blobs on the water, those would be harbor seals. They were frolicking. I am so happy I could use the word frolic.

Lon was not thrilled to be out on the pier. He was sure it was going to fall down into the water. It was a long way and he did not want to get into the water.

Look more black blobs on the water!

We saw these two cats beside Mo's when we were walking to the car. They looked sweet. Really, couldn't we just take them home?

The reason they were hanging out there. We could not take all of them home. which is a bummer.

Beauty shot. Could not take pictures without some shots of the beach.  It is cloudy, and misty and cool. It is also October.

Lon watching the ocean.

Showing us his surfing pose on the breakwater

After this we went back to our hotel, we are LOVING the Surftides Hotel.  Had a nice Jacuzzi, and now it is about bed time!
