Last year, we had an old plastic swimming pool filled with sand. We tried the same thing this year. We used a blue tarp to cover it. Hideous did not begin to cover how it looked. Looking through the Sunday paper we found this frog. So very cool, so very neat!

Testing the sand with my trusty pliers. (His parents were unclear on why he had to test the sand with pliers, but it was vitally important)
Yep, the sand tests came back positive. It would hold all his outside toys. Lon loves his frog sandbox. I like it, it looks nice. The top covers all the toys and keeps the sand dry. Nice.
