Daffodils with Jeff

This is our last post with Jeff! Sadly, he is on his way home tonight. We will miss him. I hope he had a good time while he was here.
We went up to see the fields of daffodils in the Skagit Valley.  I heard on the news last night that the weather today was going to be nice and about 10 degrees warmer than yesterday. Well, that did not exactly pan out.
The tulips were not even close to popping their heads out. The Daffodils were out and beautiful!
Rozengaarden! Every year we stop by. There was not much in bloom yet. The wind was fierce, but it was so pretty with the flowers were out. Thy hyacinth smelled so pretty.
 Pretty
Some tulips were trying hard to show themselves
Robins and Daffodils,  this means it should be spring right?
Lon hiding. There were almost no other people there, so it was okay. When there are lots of people we keep him close.
This year, he wanted to have his photo with the frog. Yippeee!
The Garmin told us there was a Tulip Museum in Mt. Vernon. Well, there is not.  We talked to the people at the Tulip Festival Office.  We walked around town, it is a pretty little town.  We stopped in at an Italian place. Lon and I had a pizza.
They hung his masterpiece on the wall.  Lon was, rightly, very proud.
Looking for spring at the Skagit River.
When we got home, there was mail! A lovely box full of treasures from Grammalyn. Lon got chocolates, bunny corn, jelly beans, TWO Star Wars books, a puzzle and binoculars!
The boys all went down to enjoy the last of the sunshine while I made an Indian Feast for dinner. Cashew Chicken, Rajma Masala, Rice. Those are the dependable recipes. I tried some pre made things, a Kofta curry I got from Trader Joes. Not happy with them. I am going to try to look for a good recipe. I just had kofta the other day, and they were wonderful.  Trader Joes did not live up to them.  And the paneer was tough.  SO I need to make those from recipes to make them taste right!
Jeff is getting ready and Mark will take him to the airport. We will miss Jeff. Hope he had fun with us !
