This morning, a little early, but not much, this very hungry lady raccoon came knocking on the door! So we fed her. Not the brightest thing I think we have ever done. We did have the safety lecture on Lon only viewing the raccoon through the glass. NOT the screen and if he is playing outside and he sees a raccoon, come inside just as fast as he can. We explained that they are wild animals, not pets. That said, we had fun watching the hungry lady grab the bread
Hello, how are you? Could you spare something to eat?
MMM, doughnuts! Thanks! Nothing like an early morning doughnut!
We thought that might have been the end of seeing her, but we put out a slice of bread anyway. She came back, she kept looking at us and reaching for the slice of bread as if to say, move along nothing to see here. Just going to get this and move along
Poor old girl
Lon got a little film camera for his birthday and was so happy he could take pictures of the raccoon too. The lady raccoon posed for him
See I can stand up too! Are you taking my picture? I look pretty good
Any more bread? Doughnut? anything?
okay, thanks so much for breakfast! See ya!

You are right, those little critters can really bite. I am glad that this was a one time deal.
