The main reason for our trip to Connecticut, other than to see Grammalyn, was Mark's high school reunion. We had a great time!
Kennis and Jeff
Damian and Holly. The picture I wanted to show you did not turn out. The DJ, who was horrid, looked like Mr. Heat Miser. He had flame red hair, and it was done up with enough hairspray to cause a hole in the ozone layer!
The next afternoon was a picnic for the class at Harkness Park. It was also Harkness Friends Appreciation Day. Which was great for Lon! There were tons of activities!
He went on a horse drawn wagon ride around the park
There was a classic thunderbird show too. If these cars look like they are lined up to form an aisle, they are! The president of the Connecticut Classic Thunderbird Club got married that afternoon! All the hoods were up, it was sweet! Lon and I were walking around, and we were going to go through, but someone asked us to wait and we got to watch the procession down the aisle. It was fun. Lon was clapping along with everyone else.
There was also a kite event! Lon got a kite, and was able to draw his own designs on it. It was great fun, it did not fly well, but it was fun
Down at the Harkness beach
There was a hay truck! With other kids, it does not get much better than that!
Lon's favorite tractor! He loves the red Farmall! He even has Farmall jammies!
A real New England type picture
