On Saturday morning we got up early and caught the Lady of the Lake. It is a boat that goes all the way up-lake and back. We took the long ride, 4 hours up, 1.5 hours in Stehekin and then 4 hours back. It went by quickly. Lon was exceptionally good. We got him a Teddy Bear Backpack that also has a very long teddy tail. Mommy or Daddy can hold on to the tail while Lon explores. He seemed to enjoy that very much. Mark took the great picture of Lon above!
On of Lon's favorite things to do onboard was to climb the stairs from the lower deck to the upper deck. We were right behind him all the time.
We stood in front of him when he came back down the stairs.
Lon doesn't like the wind in his face!
I just wanted to play NoseBite with you! Lon loves to play this game where he tries to bite my nose. He thinks it is exceptionally funny. I gotta get a haircut....
One of the coolest parts of the trip happened when we were walking around the boat. There was a sign on the door to the bridge, public welcome. Fun! So Lon and I went in. The captain let him drive the boat! Lon thought it would be fun to drive with his feet. The captain told us that he often feels like driving the boat that way!

Great weekend, you all look so good. I miss you all.
Lon must be getting ready for his Coast Guard training; sitting on the bridge and "driving the boat".
Love you,
Grandma Phis
PS I love the backpack with the tail. TOO CUTE!
