Mystic Seaport

I will say it again. I loved Mystic Seaport! Nothing beats just messing around in boats.

We met up with Uncle Jeffy and Uncle Tek inside the Seaport. The wind was fierce. But the sun was shining!

Grandma Phis with the Cigar Store Indian. She remembers this from when she first went to Mystic in 1964. It is nice that some things stay the same.

Such a pretty place!

Uncle Eric and Lon.

Tired baby boy at the museum. Grandma Phis made sure he was warm. We also got a wheelchair for GiGi. She was tired too!

The Seaport is 17 acres of property.

While we pushed Lon and GiGi around, Lon reached over and grabbed his GiGi's hand. He did it. We did not prompt him. Honestly, I did not even think of it. I LOVE the photo. GiGi thought it was pretty wonderful too.

We decided we were hungry. Grandma Phis remembered a wonderful place near the Seaport. She was hoping it was still there and still as good. It is called the Seaman's Inn. Yes, it is still there and still as good. Sadly, Grammy and Uncle Eric could not stay for lunch.

Lon goes through Grandma Phis's purse while we wait for our table. Grandma Phis had more oysters and scallops even! I had the seafood potpie. Lobster, shrimp and scallops in a lobster saffron sauce with a puff pastry top. Yum. Lon got some chicken poppers, but he tried the scallops, and shrimp. We forced ourselves to have dessert. Grandma Phis was not going to have anything until they said, white chocolate raspberry cream brulee. Those are all her favorites in one! I got the triple chocolate cake. I got a couple bites!

Lon loved it!

On our way out. We had a wonderful day. Uncle Tek and Lon.
