The Creche Festival

We have started a tradition since moving to South Carolina.  The day after Thanksgiving, Black Friday,  We think it is the best way to start the Christmas Season

The theme this year was Angels

Our favorite little sheep

These natural angels were all around the grounds. They are beautiful

We love this camel face!

The lighting on this was amazing

This little Hawaiian one made me smile. I still have an ornament angel in the yellow dress, someone brought it back for me from Hawaii.

A Russian Creche

The Australian Creche. I love the Kangaroos

The annual picture of Lon with the big Creche

This was gorgeous, it was in the store.

Mom and the Pope

We did a little drive around the grounds, it is beautiful.

A good start to the Season

Happy Thanksgiving!

This year I got a few pictures, but mainly before we started eating

The appetizers

The apple cider this year turned out to be the best ever! It was sooo good.

Starting to look like dinner

The dessert table

The long dining table. Everyone was able to sit at one table, even the kids

Lon is ready to host

The mantle looked good this year

All my turkeys

Carving the turkey!

I was so happy Mom and Andy were able to come down to share dinner with us.

And then the camera got put down and we all got down to the business of eating and enjoying each others company.

November Third Thursday

We started out at the museum.  It is little, but they have an incredible amount of very interesting stuff

Then it was time to go home, tomorrow was still a work day.

The Fair, The Rides

Lon and I went back to the Fair for him to ride the rides!

First a snack!

The Crazy Mouse.

Lon is easier to spot in his Orange Shirt

He did the bumper cars more than once

Can you see him?

Trying out some mid way games.  We did not win a thing, of course

The rain clouds are starting to roll in

Still time for the fun house!

The butterfly house was really cool

All the apples waiting for carmel.

It was a fun day with Lon. He enjoyed all the rides and I liked watching him have fun
