It's a bird, it's a plane, it's BATHTUB MAN!

Today Lon wanted to wear his goggles in the tub and we let him!
We just thought we would get some great photos of the little guy playing in the tub. Being his usual super hero self!

This is so much fun Mom!

I am getting a little bored with these goggles.. perhaps a change might be good

TaDa! Yellow looks good on me!

Moving super fast
I can dive!

Kindergarten Orientation

Tonight was our first glimpse at Kindergarten life. This is going to be an adventure!

We got to sit in a first grade classroom for a few minutes. Then the kids went with their new teachers to the classrooms they would be using. They do not have afternoon kindergarten this year. Just morning and all day.  We have decided to do just morning.  Lon is very excited about going to school!

After the hour in the class rooms, Lon wanted to go to the playground. It sounded like a grand idea!

Jumping! JUMPING!! without any fear. That's my boy. Not sure that the Mommy is good with this or not, but he is my boy!

The curly slide is always fun, and he found one of his new classmates to play with for a few minutes

Time to go home! We have some paperwork to look through and some stuff to learn in the next couple months

Pancakes with the Force

May the Pancake Force be with you! I made pancakes with the new Star Wars pancake molds this morning! I ordered them from Williams-Sonoma. I can not get out to the mall, and I knew they would be gone when I could get up and get them, so I got them mail order!

The start

I got out the big griddle, it was so much easier using the pancake molds on the griddle than in a frying pan!

Darth Vader!

Ready to eat!

Can't talk eating, Yoda is yummy !!

All gone

A Barbeque with Brian and Kayla!

Brian and Kayla brought their parents over on Saturday! We had a great time.
The kids had their dinner first, they were HUNGRY ! Juice pouches and grilled cheese!  Yummy.  The adult dinner took a little longer, it was ribs, potato salad, and beans! Michelle brought over some Kim-chee, Mark loved it!
Kayla, eating those wonderful Italian cookies.  I think she almost looks forward to them.

Getting cuter every day!

Brian likes playing with the Cars cars stuff!  They had a good time playing with all of the toys and the cushions from the outdoor furniture

Almost a smile caught on camera

Chong and Mark brought up the outdoor couch and tried it on the front porch. It was a little too tight for me, so it is now on the back patio. Probably will end up on the back deck.

They all put the toys away. It was nice! I could not get down on the floor to help. I documented the process.  2 more weeks in my boot and I should be good.

Helping Momma Water

I am still in my boot, giving my foot plenty of time to heal.  Lon is being super helpful. Today he helped me water the fruit and veggie patch!  We have raspberries, concord grapes, strawberries,  blueberries, tomatoes, blue lake beans, snow peas and  green peppers, so far
Watering Tiki Tim

Kinda getting the water closer to the raspberry bush!

Running back to turn the water up a little more. Why he had to take the hose with him I was unclear about.

More water for the raspberries! Those snow peas have really taken off! We are going to have tons. But they do freeze well.

I broke my right foot. Serious stress fractures. I will not be able to do much, so there won't be photos or fun stuff to post for a little while. Sorry for the interruption. We will get back to you soon!

Spring Recreational Fair in Monroe

Today we were all feeling better! Lon wanted to see Mater again and he was going to be at the Spring Recreational Fair at the Evergreen Fairgrounds. It was a fun afternoon, much better than mowing the lawn!
Mater!! We LOVE LOVE LOVE Mater!
The best part was Daddy got to see Mater today!

Hanging out in back

Today is fun, Thanks Mommy and Daddy!

They had a few more things besides Mater, they had a chainsaw carver. I have always been fond of chainsaw carved bears.

The carnival area beckons! Lon wanted to go on ALL the rides, we got it down to four rides. The first one he chose was the fire truck, of course.

Waiting for it to move

That was fun!! Let's see what else they have

The tiger roller coaster!!! It was wonderful fun. Since the fair was not in any way crowded the rides were on demand. Lon was the only one on the roller coaster.

For his third ride, Lon chose the airplanes. There was one other little girl on the ride too. They each got their own airplane.

The last ride was the balloons. Last year at the fair, Lon did not like this ride at all. This year it was ho hum.

He even got some cotton candy. Blue flavor. He did manage to eat some of it, not just wear it.  When we got home he did brush his teeth!  Behind Lon was the Master Gardener's area. We got some very nice looking tomato plants for the deck

Back to Mater. Getting in as much Mater time as possible!

Yes, his feet are off the ground

I could stay here all day!

Okay, I'm good. Let's go home
