A Graduation Quilt for Sean

The last of this year's graduation quilts. (I think) This one was for the neighbor boy who LOVES football and is going to the University of Washington in the fall. Lon and I delivered it this afternoon. Sean seemed to be very pleased.

Robo Lon!

The last time we got groceries Mark got a few paper bags! He wanted to show Lon how to make himself in to a Robot! Lon and Daddy drew the face together. Daddy cut out the eyes. It was a fun Daddy and Lon game!

A New Sprinkler

Lon got a late birthday present from Miss Sarah! A very fun new sprinkler ball. Yes, it is HUGE! But, oh, so much fun!
We were using the gazillion bubble machine too. Bubbles always make a fun day even more!

Lon's First Credit Card Offer!

Lon got his very first credit card application in the mail today. OMG!! I am going to keep this in his book. Who would think that a 4 year old would need his own credit card. He doesn't go anywhere on his own!

Back to Pirates!

Today we started our summer session of Pirate Class! It is now a Mommy and Me class. Lon and I made a pirate hat. He decorated it himself with pirate stickers. After making our all important hat, we went upstairs!
Time to see how strong the new little pirates are! A tug of war against Pirate Captain Laura!

In the end, of course, Lon prevailed. He is a very strong little pirate.

Finger Painting

Today was a nice warm day, perfect for our first foray into finger painting!

The name of this masterpiece is California Virginia Carls.
Because that is where Grandma lives, California Virginia. Carls is also in the picture for the main reason that Lon wanted ice cream from Carls.

Yard Work!

Today was another beautiful day! We started up the bubble blower that Lon got from Auntie KK for his birthday. We have already gone though half a gallon of bubble mix! A gazillion bubbles is right! We LOVE our bubbles.
Lon is still in his jammies, but he so wanted to help Daddy in the backyard. He had to have shoes and a hat! He even got his work gloves on.

Helping chop up wisteria. The wisteria is out of control over the patio. We got it away from the house today.
Lon did come in to get a peanut butter sandwich and I got him dressed. He wanted to help get some wisteria down from over his head, but that did not last long at all. He got up about that far on the ladder and thought better of the whole thing.
This is more to my liking! A big old stick! I like sticks.

Some sandbox time is always good.
Lon was a big help in getting the wisteria all picked up and put in the yard waste bucket. It was good to get that done today.

Happy Fourth of July!

We had a pretty low key Fourth! We went over to Rahul and Prachi's new apartment. The apartment is very nice and spacious. Then we went into the pool! Lon and I practiced the things his report card said he needed work on. He is getting better!

There is a little river system in the complex. There are TONS of ducks. These are the last of the little ones! 9 babies! And I think I am tired! Whew! I wonder what she is going to do for preschool...

First Swim Report Card for 2009

Today was report card day at the pool. Lon will be in PS1 next session, but we thought he would be. The big news is that since he is now 4, he decided that he could dunk his head, and he did! Lon did the required 3 bobs today. His back floats have improved remarkably in just one day! Perhaps after next session he will be in PS2.
