Playing with Drew

Drew and his parents came up for dinner. Our original plan was to play outside, but that was NOT going to happen today. The boys had a grand time as our dinner cooked.
They shared the learning tower.

They shared hugs. That was sweet.

They did alot of driving!
They had fun riding the fire engine.

Lon got into his toy boy and wanted to be covered with all his toys. Lon thought this was funny.

As the evening was winding down, the boys were hiding under the blanket. They thought this was VERY funny. The boys had a great time together. Lon was sleep about 23 minutes after Drew went home.

Family is good.

Superman Runs the Sweeper

Living proof that Superman does housework!
Lon was having fun, he turned the sweeper on. He really wanted to use the sweeper too, we let him. Have fun! I am sure that he won't do this when he is a teenager! But I can hope.

Happy Birthday Marcus!

When we lived in Poulsbo, we had some very nice neighbors, we moved here and they moved to Arizona. Well, Marcus is back up here to study. He is staying with us for now. His birthday was Friday. Lon wanted to help make his cake.

Lon unwrapped the butter. It was VERY early on Friday morning, Lon had just finished his bath.

Lon broke up the chocolate, and he pushed the button on the microwave to melt it.
The finished product! A very nice, and super tasty German Chocolate Cake. Lon also helped me make him LOTS of chicken enchiladas. I think Marcus had a good birthday.

Halloween Preview

We had Lon try on his Halloween Costume, just for fit. He wanted to drive his engine around, just to make sure he could.
The costume fit. Lon wanted to wear it for the next two weeks, Mommy hid it, out of sight out of mind.
I just have to remember where I put it.

Farmer Lon

We feed the squirrels dried field corn. They like it. But they also bury it in random places around the yard. We had one growing on the side of the house.

I spent the afternoon on Saturday weeding the side bed, so I could put in my new happy tulip bulbs. They all went in, and got covered with mesh, as the squirrels LOVE them almost as much as crocus. When the weeding was almost done, Lon came out and wanted to pick the corn. So he did.

We are drying the squirrel corn in the garage. We will plant some of it, a little earlier than the squirrel planted this one. We will see what happens!

Stuff On My Dad

There is a web site I go to every so often, called Stuff on my Cat. What Lon was doing the other day reminded me of that.

Daddy was napping on the couch. Lon made a parking lot on Daddy.
Lon was pleased his creation turned out so well. He likes putting stuff on Daddy when he is napping on the couch. I did NOT coach him to do this. Lon did it all by himself. Since we have returned from Virginia, that has become his new thing, LON DO IT!

Food Glorious Food

On Sunday morning as I was finishing up my shower, I heard a little voice saying Mommmyyy get doughnuts with Lon. Moommmmmmyyyyy... So that is just what we did.

I was going to just get doughnut holes, but Lon saw a doughnut with Ms on it! Ms on a a doughnut, who thought up such a wonderful thing? Such a perfect combination, chocolate, doughnut, and Ms.

Yes, Lon went to the store in his jammies.

Once we had our doughnuts and got Lon dressed we went to look at new shelves. Then we went to lunch at Lai-Thai in downtown Kirkland. The Thai place near our house is under new owners and new chef. It is not so good anymore. We like Lai-Thai.

Lon liked to have his own cup, and he liked to pull the ice out of the cup. Ice is yummy.

Lon tried chicken satay, with peanut buddy sauce. He called it a chicken lolly

He thought they were yummy

He had some plain rice, pad thai, and some swimming rama, only the spinach part with peanut buddy sauce.

After a nice filling lunch we walked around Kirkland. Toward the previously posted ducks!

Chasing ducks is so much fun! Lon had a great time. He did not want to leave. But eventually we did go home, out of the wind and rain.

Duck Herder

Lon herds ducks! In the windy rain

South 47 Farm

On Saturday we went to South 47 Farm. It is a 47 acre organic farm. We had a fun. Even though it was raining!

They had GOATS! And yes, we fed them!

It was a good day for smart ducks.

And he's off!

A little explanation on why running off is NOT the best idea Lon ever had....

Going for a hayride!

Pumpkin Patch

Hello Everyone!
Checking out the gourds.

We had a great day. It was fun, even in the rain.

Thank You, GrammaLyn

Yesterday we got a big box! UPS man Mr. Todd delivered it, even though we were out front, he carried it up the stairs for us. We like Mr. Todd. The big box was from GrammaLyn! A while ago, she saw something in a catalog that she thought would be good from Lon, when he could stand up on his own. Well, he can now! This is such a good thing for him! It is VERY stable and lets him stand up in the kitchen and help Mommy or Daddy! And Mommy and Daddy do not have to worry about him falling off the chair. We really like the present.

Lon and I built the Learning Tower together while Daddy was napping. Lon wanted to help me put in each screw into the pre-drilled holes. The biggest drawback was that it used allen wrench screws, the kind I do not have a drill bit for! I put in all 28 screws by hand. It is STURDY though! The directions say it will hold up to 500 pounds! Yipes! If Lon ever even gets CLOSE to that.. I can not imagine.
We are going to get LOTS of use out of the Learning Tower! Thank you very much GrammaLyn!

Back to the Gym

Hello All! We made it back to Washington just fine. After a couple days rest, we were back to our weekly gym class! We have a couple of friends from before in class. It is always nice to see familiar faces. We are meeting new people, and that is fun!

We have a new teacher this year and she is wonderful. We like her.

We have so much fun in class. We can't wait till next week!
