The Yis came down around 9 and we thought it would be a great time to light off the fireworks we had. We did not have too much. 4 showering things, 2 big bang things, 2 super shot things,2 tanks, and Roman candles and sparklers. There was a light rain, so perfect for fireworks.
Getting the fuse out
Fire
Letting Lon light one. Then he ran back to the sidewalk
Love this one
Sparklers!
We all love those!
Happy New Year!

December Folly
Today we had nothing planned. Grammalyn was back in Connecticut and Grandma was not due until tomorrow. We could clean house, we could just hang out. But we decided to go to Folly Beach since it was going to be 80 degrees! Yes, today December 29!
We were hoping the clouds would lift
We did not notice at first but someone was having a photo shoot under the pier, so we did not go that way. We called Lon back as soon as we saw what was happening.
The light was beautiful
Looking through the strata to find something interesting
Watching a small leaf float down.
These pugs were super friends. The little black one loved Lon. She was sorry to see him go
We heard you could find shark teeth on the beach. We started looking. Lon actually found a tiny shark tooth. Mommy said I will keep it in my pocket to keep it safe.
Mommy has lost the tiny tooth. I am not happy about that.
we really did walk that far down the beach
The view of Charleston on our way home
It was such a fun day, even if the sun was hiding!

Post Christmas Lego Extravaganza!
Lon got a LOT of Legos for Christmas. Not one of them was a duplicate. He started the great after Christmas Lego build!
Lon let Daddy help with the AT AT. That was a wonderful Lego from Aunt Karen!
Daddy sorted, Lon built

His Legos he has built so far.
Sometimes a rebuild is required to keep playing
Lon is having a very fun break!

Hiding Scout
My Grandfather made a latch hook tree skirt, and I still have it. This year I put it out. Before I put the stuffed animals around the drum table. Scout LOVED the rug. When I put the animals on it, he got very upset. He would thump me, walk over to the pile and look at me. He did this several times before I caught on. Stupid Human. I cleared a space for him and he has very happily slept there ever since.

Santee Coooper Lights
In Monck's Corner they have a light display also. It is brought to you by the Santee Cooper Electric Company. It started in 2011. It has not been going on that long, but we noticed there were some new displays this year
Even though Santa as not there and the village was not open for visitors, we could still see the lights.
They have lots of ponds to reflect the lights. That is so pretty!
this year the whole tree was lit
last year part of it had burnt out
Even though the area and the lights are smaller. I recommend going out to see them. They are really fun.

James Island County Light Festival
Today, we finally had time to go to see the lights!
We packed a snack box. I love this box, we got this from a secret Elf! The elf left this on our doorstep with some wonderful goodies in it for the holidays.
It was almost 80 degrees but he wanted to wear his new R2D2 hat
Here we go!
I am going to post lots of pictures of lights for you to enjoy!
Rainbow Row
Through the light tunnel
Star Tunnel
I love the flamingos!
On our second pass though, parking Lot A was open ! We stopped ! While Lon was in line for Smores. I went up and got this year's ornament. I made it back in time to watch Lon enjoy his smore!
I could not resist the ginger bread house
Dino land
One of my favorite displays
The owl winks
Happy New Year!
The moon! It was gorgeous tonight.
